We were going to spend the holidays at the Stuart Cabin in Colorado. But with everything going on, we decided to stay home. BUT we really needed to GET OUT OF TOWN for a bit. So, thanks to Robyn, Donnie, & Blake, we got to take a short trip to the Grapevine/Dallas area right before New Year's. We went to the Rainforest Cafe--which we had never experienced.

Blake & AJ thought it was cool sitting next to an aquarium.
All of the animals came to life about every 10 minutes--which scared Ethan to death!!! We were sitting only yards away from this huge gorilla that was just in view for my little man...he would FREAK OUT each time the gorilla came to life. So we braced ourselves every 10 minutes! But it was a fun experience, aside from that! We got to celebrate Blake's 3rd b-day with a HUGE Volcano cake with ice cream (my fav) that we all devoured in less than 5 minutes.

We stayed at the Great Wolf Lodge. It is an indoor water park. My boys LOVE water, so it was the perfect get-away for them. There was a lazy river, wave pool, little tikes area, slides for every age group. There was a massive bucket that dumped a huge amt of water every 8 minutes or so (we steered clear of that...the pressure from that amount of water was strong enough to send Ethan flying). We had good times.
The husbands went down the "Howling Tornado" slide, then they took the boys upstairs to our room and FORCED the moms to go do the same slide. We sucked it up and did it. It was frightening!!! I know, I'm getting weak with my old age but it was truly SCARY and FUN!!!

Thanks to Robyn & Donnie for a great trip.
